~As usual, Heavenly Hideaway was exactly what we needed for our second visit. Two quiet days of just us to unwind and re-charge. The weather was great-just cool enough to make a difference from the 90’s in the flat land, with just enough rain. As we got ready for an “appetizer soak” in the hot tub at dusk, we heard a lone coyote just down the hill calling his family for a night’s hunt as the cicadas wound down and the katydids got warmed up…Mandi even saw a shooting star from the Leonid meteor shower!

~We had a wonderful time at Heavenly Hideaway and escaped the heat of Louisiana. My two young daughters loved picking blueberries, feeding the fish, visiting the chickens and cows and playing on the deck. My husband and I also loved the deck and the great hot tub. We made many memories exploring Asheville, the WNC Nature Center, the Biltmore, Lake Lure, and Dupont State Park. Thanks for everything.

~Our stay was better than we anticipated because of the privacy we had enjoying many nights in the hot tub under the stars. We enjoyed the wonderful eggs Janet picked for us and can’t wait to dig into the honey from the farm. Isabell, our weimaraner, enjoyed the pond. She jumped in as soon as she saw it and it took us a good bit of coaxing to get her out. The blueberries were out and we stuffed our faces. The hike to Rooster’s Bluff was just enough to get us breathing hard. The view was gorgeous. We will be back!

~Our second stay at the Hideaway and it’s becoming our respite. After months of intense work, it was so wonderful to cast aside deadlines to come to this beautiful spot. Tal trekked to Buzzard’s Roost while I trekked to Tops for Shoes in Asheville! He rested and I showed off my new shoes while enjoying a sunset drink at the Sky Bar in the Flat Iron building downtown Asheville. Asheville has such great energy- where else could we encounter a fake nun on a bike with a 10’ high seat and a guy in a top-hat stroking the head of a plastic flamingo about 6’ from where we were dining outside. Chapel Hill has dearly lost the battle of cool places to hangout. We’ll be back no doubt in a few months.

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Heavenly Hideawy. we can't express enough how nice it was to get away from the stresses of our daily lives and come relax on your beautiful property. How lucky you are to have been here so long. From sitting in the hot tub to relaxing with a glass of wine by the fire, this cabin was perfect for our first "Getaway." This is all without mentioning its great location. We had such an easy time getting to all the places we wanted to visit: Biltmore, Chimney Rock and downtown Asheville to name a few. We plan on recommending Heavenly Hideaway to many of our friends and we WILL be back soon.

~Many warm thanks for a lovely stay. We had a blast ba-haing around your property in your buggie for the guided tour. What a nice farm you have here. It is perfect for a much needed get away from the crowds and demands of daily life. (At least our lives.) We will continue to return to this area-research and plan a way to either live near this place or spend more time here. We know you will enjoy great success with this cabin and your future plans. It has a great location and loads of charm. Really, it was the right spot for our 10th anniversay! Buzzard's Roost was a treat for the senses-truly a special spot. I'm sure that were I given a chainsaw, I too would be tranformed. From what I have read in the journals, Janet, you carry your father's spirit within you. I believe this is a very good thing. It has been a pleasure, reminding us that angels are everywhere!

~Thank-you for a fabulous end of year getaway. We have had a great time in the Asheville area, exploring the property here as well as the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area. We were so
glad to have the opportunity to bring our dog, Murphy. He had a blast hiking with us and we've rarely seen him as tired and sleepy as he's been in the evenings after a long day of exploring. As for Brent and me, we especially enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and looking up at the sky full fo stars. We hope to be back soon!

~Janet, We very much enjoyed spending the weekend at Heavenly Hideaway. I can't remember the last time I had such a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. From sitting under the star-filled sky in the hot tub to enjoying the quiet calm of the surrounding forest while rocking on the porch, everything was perfect. I feel like Molly and I truly grew closer than ever before on this trip and for that I thank you and Heavenly Hideaway. We definitely plan to return in the future.

~My best friend and I had a wonderful time at this absolutely brilliant cabin. We celebrated my birthday and a new job with a trip to the Biltmore for a candle lit tour for christmas, which was just a hop skip and a jump away. The cabin was the best. We could have stayed there forever. It had such a warm feeling to it. The hospitality was awesome. It was a great getaway, and stress reliever. We will definitely come back again.

~Don't even know where to begin. We fell in love with your piece of "Heaven!" I don't think we have ever relaxed on a vacation as much as we did on this one. We had plans to go see other places, but once we got here we cancelled everything. We did not want to leave. Everything is here. Hikes, beautiful views, hot tub, bon fires... Bruno says this place took him back to his days of growing up and spending his summers in upstate NY. Brought back some wonderful memories. ~First off...THANKS FOR NOTHING. Thanks for NO constant swish of the cars and buses going by, the shouts of angry commuters. Thanks for NO rumble of the mass transit train and semiis shaking windows in the middle of the night. Thanks for NO constant glare of streetlights, head lights, security lights, all the lights people put up to keep away the dark or what they imagine might be creeping in it. Thanks for NO expectations. Thanks for NOTHING more than the stillness of the woods and the peace that the wind stirring the treetops can bring. Thanks for NOTHING more than the vault of clear stars over our heads. Every night I will place that clear transparency of perfect night to the insides of my eyes for as long as I can remember it. And if I forget...I know where to come to find a spring of well being that springs from NOTHING.

~We spent our first romantic vacation as a couple at Heavenly Hideaway and it was a wonderful spot for our relaxing getaway. We think the cabin is adorable and we can't wait to recommend it to all of our friends in Charleston. The fall weather was ideal and the cool nights made lounging in the hot tub under the stars one of the best parts of our weekend. The cabin truly offers everything that one needs- from the romantic fireplace to the cute decorations, we are so impressed with how you put this place together. We left two bottles of wine in the fridge-from a vineyard in Charleston-with the hope that other couples also can start their time in Heavenly Hideaway off on a romantic note!

~Paul and I chose Heavenly hideaway as the spot for our first vacation away together. We could not be more pleased. Your hospitality was such a warm welcome and we fell in love with the cabin immediately. We love the attention to detail and the craftsmanship and care that went into making this such a special place to get away. After a long day of hiking at Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain (full of color and the most challenging and rewarding hike we have ever experienced), or the trail up to Buzzard's Roost, nothing was better than coming back to the cabin and cooking a nice dinner together and enjoying the evening in the hot tub under the stars with a nice bottle of wine. We certainly hope to return some day with a family of our own. As photographers we couldn't have picked a more beautiful place to visit. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

~Heavenly Hideaway was a perfect getaway to celebrate our 21st anniversary together. It is nice to know we can still do nothing together and still enjoy each others company. Thank you for sharing "your mountain" with us. The hike up was a bit for me but the view was awesome. Mike and I sat for a long time and just enjoyed God's creation. I admire your strength and courage and the willingness to continue your family's legacy. I know your dad is so proud of you. Life is so good but has so many things to distract you and what is important in life. Mike and I were able to relax, enjoy and get some well needed rest. with 2 teenage daughters and a son in Iraq, a parents' mind never stops. Heavenly Hideawy had all the luxuries of home (and then some) yet you're able to feel tucked away! We look forward to our next visit together. Take care and God Bless you always.

~Wow! What an amazing place to stay! This place has everything you could possibly want or need for a private get-away. We loved the decor! We found a lot of handmade things here. Your map with elevations is great! We thought the coffee mugs were beautiful! We even found a nut cracker like our grandparents had! Inside was so clean you could still smell the wood!
